"Hetty's Tea Shop is full of character, not just on the outside but inside too, such an interesting little Tea Shop! Everything is at a high standard, quality of food and drinks were great and reasonably priced too! Cakes looked amazing! Plenty of Staff on, they were all very friendly and looked smart! Will definitely be back for another visit"

"Absolutely amazing cafe on the caldon canal. Atmosphere is fantastic and the upstairs "Madam Hatty" dining area is quirky and brilliantly thought out. The service offered was polite, friendly and efficient and the young girl that served us went out of her way to accommodate us and enquire after our day. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner. Would highly recommend trying this lovely tea room if your doing any of the walks around the area or from the tea room. Might be worth booking a table on advance as they are always busy! Sorry there's no photos of the food....it didn't last long enough :) Trust me when I say you'll enjoy the experience!!"

"Lovely place to go with the Cauldon canal and the river Churnet by it . We booked a table as it’s Mother’s Day weekend. Very busy . We had a set time to be there and leave . The problem was you had to queue to be served which took forever. Then we were clock watching and encouraging our children to eat up . The food was delicious and nice to be able to have a variety of foods plus afternoon tea . The cakes looked define . Cant believe how many different flavours of scones to choose from , apple, cherry , raspberry were just a few . There was a car park and an overflow both were full .There is outside seating and shelters . Dogs welcome . I would definitely go back but maybe not on a special weekend . Definitely worth booking before hand . Toilets are across the road not on the premises."
